Game Thread: White Sox at Rockies
Mile High mid-off begins tonight!
After a dreadful trip to Los Angeles, the White Sox will head into a series with the worst team in Major League Baseball this year — and currently on pace to surpass the 2024 White Sox in badness — the Colorado Rockies (20-67).
As I mentioned in Thursday’s game thread, Colson Montgomery would be making his MLB debut in tonight’s series. With one player coming up, one must go. In this case, Vinny Capra was sacrificed to the baseball gods. I’ll miss his position player pitching moments when the game has gotten out of control.

While the move might seem rushed, these videos never get old. Welcome, Colson!

Adrian Houser (3-2) gets the start tonight. Houser has provided the consistency the White Sox have needed in a starter, and his 1.90 ERA reflects that.

The Rockies can’t say the same about their starter this evening: Antonio Senzatela (3-11) comes in with a 6.69 ERA. Pitching has not been a strength for this struggling team, among other things. But don’t get too cocky — the White Sox have only won eight more games than Colorado.
