No one knows anything yet
It was announced by several sources today that Luis Ortiz has been placed on paid, non-disciplinary leave by MLB while they conduct an unspecified investigation.
Cleveland Guardians right-hander Luis Ortiz is under investigation by Major League Baseball and has been placed on paid leave, according to a statement by the league. MLB did not release specifics of the investigation.

Friend of our site, La Mole, pointed out that gambling is something a teammate of Ortiz had issues with:

And a follow-up article from Zack Meisel and Ken Rosenthal confirms that there are sources saying it is betting related.
If he bet on baseball, he will be done for life. If he bet on other sports, it will be a lengthy suspension.
Joey Cantillo will take Ortiz's spot in the rotation and start tonight against the Cubs. Obviously, I have no idea what Ortiz did but as a baseball fan, I will miss seeing him pitch because I was very positive about his chances of becoming very good with the Guardians.
