600 athletes participate in 4th India Junior National Baseball5 Championship in Chandigarh
The 4th India Junior National Baseball5 Championship, played from 29th May to 2nd June at Punjab University Chandigarh, gathered around 600 players across the men's and women's categories. A total of 22 men's teams and 19 girls teams from different states of India participated in the championship.
The tournament was played in a knockout format with a total of 22 matches played in the boys category and 19 matches played in the girls category up to the respective finals.

Along with the competition, the Softball Association of India conducted a Baseball5 clinic for coaches and players as part of a development plan started seven years ago nationwide. In this training, about 600 players were given information about the basic skills, rules, playing techniques and umpiring signals related to Baseball5. Additionally, more than 84 coaches from different states were given training in Baseball5 rules, game techniques, coaching techniques and umpiring.
