Morning Briefing: Jett Williams Named Eastern League Player Of The Week
Good morning, Mets fans!
Mets prospect Jett Williams had an awesome week for Double-A Binghamton, earning the Eastern League Player of the Week award.
Williams hit .385/.467/.962 with two home runs, three doubles, and two triples during the week. In his last four games, he went 8-for-15, with all eight hits being for extra bases.
In 55 games this season, he’s been on fire, racking up a .926 OPS with six home runs and 24 RBIs.
Williams has also been named to MLB Pipeline’s team of the week.

The Yankees announced they have designated Pablo Reyes. With this move, it now opens a spot for the return of DH Giancarlo Stanton.
University of Arkansas pitcher Gage Wood did something that has not happened in college baseball since 1960: He threw a no-hitter. He was an eighth-inning HBP away from a perfect game.
