Guardians News and Notes: Of Course That Would Happen
News and Notes for Sunday, June 15th, 2025
The Guardians lost their first game they have led after 8 innings in their last 113 tries, 4-3 to the Mariners.
Emmanuel Clase blew the save with an assist from home plate umpire Mike Muchlinski who missed a CLEAR strike resulting in his walk of Miles Mastrobouni. When things are going bad, that kind of thing happens.

The Guardians went 1 for 9 with runners in scoring position. Bo Naylor is in a bad stretch again, getting a golden sombrero and he probably should have blocked that Clase wild pitch ine the ninth.
Hey, but Jose Ramirez hit a homer and extended his on-base streak to 39 games, Tungsten Arm O'Donnell style.

Nolan Jones, Daniel Schneemann, Matt Festa, Hunter Gaddis and Cade Smith were also good.
It's nice for Stephen Vogt to be home.
One more loss and this is a .500 baseball team. Also, the Guardians' best relievers are likely to be unavailable today. Good luck, Guards Fan Dads on having a happy day!
Oh, Chase DeLauter extended his on-base streak to 15 in Columbus, going 2 for 4 with a walk. Bless.
