Thirty-two-year-old lefty Jeffrey Springs will take the mound for the A’s today hoping to salvage one game of the series for the team. This year, Springs is 5-3 with a 4.27 ERA over nine starts and 46+ innings. Springs will go up against the 42-year-old future Hall of Famer Justin Verlander for the Giants. Verlander’s numbers for 2025 don’t reflect his career stats. This year he’s 0-3 with a 4.31 ERA during his nine starts. This should be a fun matchup to watch.
