Mets Minors Recap: Sproat Rebounds, Lugo Hits Walk-Off Homer

It’s been an uneven season for Brandon Sproat, but hopefully he’s on the right track for good after throwing five innings of one-run ball Wednesday in a 6-5 victory for Triple-A Syracuse. Sproat, 24, was one of three players in the Mets organization listed in Baseball America’s updated top 100 prospects list on Wednesday, but he came in at No. 99, down 38 spots from where the publication ranked him last time. The others on the list were SS/OF Jett Williams (No. 62) and RHP Nolan McLean (No. 72), both of Double-A Binghamton. Fun fact: Brooklyn and St. Lucie stole a combined 15 bases.
