Hunter Greene leaves start with apparent groin injury
Dammit
The hits just keep coming for the Cincinnati Reds, but not the ones that we would like. With the Reds up 3-0 in the bottom of the 4th inning, Hunter Greene was cruising just as he has all season. Having allowed only 2 hits and already accumulating 6 strikeouts across his 3 innings, the Reds were seemingly well on their way to victory. That was, until Greene felt something awkward in his leg while throwing a warm-up pitch before the bottom of the 4th. Greene motioned to the dugout, a meeting was held, and Greene walked slowly to the dugout.

Hopefully, for Greene’s sake, this is all precautionary and we’re just looking at a short IL stint. This is, as you can remember, the same leg and hip that sidelined him for a significant portion of the 2023 season so hopefully the two aren’t related. We will all be eagerly awaiting more news about this injury. But until we find out more, we can just add this to the list of injuries that have plagued the Reds in 2025.
