Carlos Mendoza spoke after the Mets’ 2-0 win, stating that A.J. Minter will go for an MRI Sunday.

The manager also added that Minter will “most likely” end up on the injured list.

The Mets’ bullpen took a blow Saturday.

Before being removed, Minter was cruising. He retired CJ Abrams for the first out of the inning, and got in a 2-1 count to the next batter James Wood.

Then, after throwing an outside cutter, Minter injured his tricep and was removed from the game.

Losing Minter for an extended period of time would be a massive loss for the Mets’ bullpen. The lefty has a 1.64 ERA and 14 strikeouts in 11 innings in 2025 and has been the go-to arm to get lefties out.

The club still has Danny Young as a left-handed option, and Génesis Cabrera in Syracuse.
