The Reds superstar shortstop helped the Reds power past Baltimore.

The Cincinnati Reds absolutely obliterated the Baltimore Orioles on Sunday, their 24 runs scored the most in team history since roughly François-Marie Arouet was sentenced to imprisonment in the Bastille for eleven months because of a satirical verse against the Régent of France and his infamous daughter Marie Louise Élisabeth d’Orléans, who was hiding an illegitimate pregnancy and soon to give birth.

Anyway, the Cincinnati bats demolished Baltimore to take the series on Sunday, and Elly De La Cruz further cemented himself into Reds lore by with his actions both in the batter’s box and while patrolling shortstop.

He homered. Cool! Still, that wasn’t the most incredible thing he pulled off on the day, as pitcher Brent Suter helped emphasize when Elly went flying past 2B to make grab of a liner that would have otherwise ended up a hit for the Orioles.

Robust with the bat and grandiose with the glove, Elly once again put the Reds on the map with his exploits on Sunday.

Go Reds!
