Still looking for that first Sacramento win

After dropping the home-opener last night, the Athletics get another chance to win their first game in Sacramento tonight in Game two against the Chicago Cubs. Let’s hope this one goes a lot better than yesterday.

It’ll be a battle of Opening Day starters as right-hander Luis Severino gets the ball for the start tonight. He’ll be making his second start of the season and the first at his new home ballpark. The expensive righty earned that contract on Opening Day, firing off six shutout innings against the Mariners while allowing just three hits. He’ll be hoping to keep that early momentum going tonight against a Cubs team that already has seven games under their belt.

The Athletics’ lineup for the second game of the series looks like this:

The lineup looks more or less familiar as all the regulars are in there tonight against Cubs left-hander Justin Steele. He’s already made two starts after the Cubs opened the season a couple of weeks ago in Tokyo. It’s been a rough begining of the season for the lefty as he’s already allowed eight runs in just nine innings of work. The Athletics don’t want to get in the way of Steele’s tough time, right?

Chicago’s lineup for tonight’s contest looks like this:

It’ll be the same lineup from last night that put up 18 runs against us other than the catcher position. Let’s just hope Severino can handle the Chicago lineup better than Estes last night. Let’s go A’s!
