Morning Briefing: Mets Trade Alexander Canario to Pirates
Good morning, Mets fans!
The Mets have traded Alexander Canario to the Pirates in exchange for cash considerations. Canario clubbed three homers with a 1.030 OPS in 43 plate appearances during spring training but was out of minor league options, and the team designated him for assignment at the end of camp. To make room for Canario on the 40-man roster, the Pirates transferred Jared Jones to the 60-day injured list.
