Is this who they are? Or just getting the bad juju out now?

Well, Mariners faithful, spring training is officially in full swing, and if you didn’t know it yet, the Mariners are practically in mid-season form! That form, of course, is their traditional post-all-star break pre-playoff collapse, as is tradition. This past week of spring training was punctuated by pounding the Mariners were on the receiving end of by none other than the mighty, the indomitable, the all powerful Chicago...White Sox? Hang on a minute... (Kate, is this right? ... Well it says White Sox. ... Really? Are we sure? ... Well, if you say so, but this sounds fake to me) ... Yes, the White Sox crushed our beloved M’s 18 - 9, a loss so devastating it almost feels like they got eliminated already, they even threw in the little mini late inning comeback they always have that never gets the job done after being out hit for the first six innings. Yes, Mariners baseball is truly back.

But let's not let all that distract us from what truly matters in life, elections! Mariners React Surveys! Last week we wanted to know a few things about you all and trust I read the comments to stroke my ego to see your valuable feedback, so keep em’ coming!

We wanted to know who you thought would be the breakout candidate this year, and the results will come as no surprise to anyone.

Kyle Thele

It seems most of you think Cole Young is going to be the next big thing. I’m glad to see there are still dozens of Blissciples among us. We are not flinching people; this is Bliss’s year. Blissciples, assemble in the comments and espouse why you believe in our short king.

We also asked who will have the biggest impact this year, and the results, again, were not surprising.

Kyle Thele

It’s clear that we as fans already understand the importance of Julio's success to the overall success of the lineup. If the front office understands that as well, then hopefully, they can build a lineup around him to sufficiently support him. I was a little shocked Randy was so low. He was one of our biggest additions at the deadline last year. Why do you think he won’t be a major contributor moving forward? Say so below.

Finally, we had to know who you think was due for a bounce back season, and you let us know loud and clear:

Kyle Thele

John, “You already know what the P stands for,” Crawford, oh, captain, my captain. I'm glad to see people have faith in the JP recovery season. Hopefully, he can get back to his 2023 form or even 2022. His contributions to the lineup would be huge.

Take a look below at the survey and let us know your thoughts on where the Mariners are at, and what the future may hold.

Welcome to SB Nation Reacts, a survey of fans across the MLB. Throughout the year we ask questions of the most plugged-in Seattle Mariners fans and fans across the country. Sign up here to participate in the weekly emailed surveys.
