Second 2025 webinar to provide anti-doping rule violations overview
The World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) and the International Testing Agency (ITA) invite all Member Federations to join the second webinar of the year. Ayesha Talpade, ITA Senior Legal Counsel, will provide an overview of Anti-Doping Violations, practical insights, and expert answers to eventual questions.
The webinar is scheduled for Tuesday, February 25 at 14:00 Lausanne time (CET).
Participants need to register through the ZOOM PLATFORM.
The WBSC also reminds the members that the 2025 Prohibited List and 2025 Monitoring Programme entered into force on January 1, 2025.
The 2025 Summary of Major Modifications and Explanatory Notes include all significant modifications for the year.
An athlete will only be allowed to use a prohibited substance for medical reasons if the athlete has a valid Therapeutic Use Exemption (TUE) for the substance and the WBSC has granted or recognised it. See the Therapeutic Use Exemption section for more information.
The WBSC also reminds members that the National Federations (NFs) are responsible for the costs related to the results management of any eventual positive cases according to the WBSC Anti-Doping Rules Article 12.4 from 1st January 2024.
