Where will the Mariners finish this year?

Welcome back to another iteration of Mariners React Surveys. As some of you saw, last week was a brief survey on how the Mariners finished up this offseason. The results follow below:

Seems that most of you think the best addition (or in this case re-addition) for the Mariners this year was none other then Jorge Polanco.

Kyle Thele
49% of respondents think Jorge Polanco is the Mariners biggest addition

That’s dire! But understandable. We’re curious about why Donovan Solano polled so much lower than Polanco, especially since Solano seemed to supplant bringing back fan favorite Justin Turner.

It seems like what the Mariners have done this year wasn’t enough, and that showed with the reactions to the question asking if the Mariners have done enough to make the playoffs this year. A resounding 85% of you think the Mariners didn’t put themselves in a place to reach the 2025 postseason - some more strongly than others.

Kyle Thele
49% of respondents don’t think the Mariners have done enough to reach the postseason

With all that in mind, this week inquiring minds would like to know: where do you think the Mariners will finish in the division this season? You can check out the odds for the AL West here https://sportsbook.fanduel.com/; no surprise, the Astros are once again favored by the betting lines to win the West, even if many baseball-oriented projection systems see the division as a virtual tie.

Welcome to SB Nation Reacts, a survey of fans across the MLB. Throughout the year we ask questions of the most plugged-in Seattle Mariners fans and fans across the country. Sign up here to participate in the weekly emailed surveys.
