Top Answer Nick B. January 8, 2021 From time to time, You'll find that the 2011 Chevrolet Equinox's air conditioning system needs to be recharged. When You do so, it's important not to overfill; having a system that runs too much refrigerant can nearly be as bad as a system that's running too little. With that said, the '11 Equinox requires the use of 1.43 pounds of R134 -- though this may not be the best way to measure. When You're refilling, You'll need to locate the AC refrigerant line immediately to the right of Your engine block. Make sure Your hose has a gauge, and You're running Your vehicle with the AC on full blast. Continue adding until You're in a normal operating range, which is between 27 and 48 PSI.
