• The Roki signing prompted a lot of speculation about whether there was a standing agreement established between Roki and the Dodgers, but MLB has announced that they had already conducted an investigation prior to Sasaki’s posting.
• Chicago Cubs chairman Tom Ricketts addressed the teams expected payroll, as well as their desire to keep Kyle Tucker on the team long term.
• The San Diego Padres signed utilityman Niko Goodrum to a minor league deal.
• Tony Sandwiches is going to the Twin Cities on a minor league deal.
• The Kansas City Royals signed Harold Castro to a minor league deal. Castro has -2.4 career bWAR in MLB, but put up decent season playing for the Toros de Tiajuana of the Mexican League in 2024.
