One Awkward Detail About Taylor Swift & Travis Kelce’s Baseball Date Has Fans Laughing

That might be what Taylor Swift is saying after she and Travis Kelce attended the first game of the MLB American League Championship between the New York Yankees and Cleveland Guardians at Yankees Stadium on Monday, Oct. 14. While Kelce looked into the game, Swift didn’t appear as excited by the events unfolding in front of her… and that’s OK!

The Kansas City Chiefs tight end appeared to be giving his baseball insights to the “Shake It Off” singer, but her face might have been telling a different story. On gossip site Deuxmoi’s Instagram page, fans chimed in with their thoughts on Swift’s disinterested look. “I also pretended to care about baseball when I was dating my now husband. This act of love is universal,” one follower commented sweetly. Another added, “The first few pictures are the facial expression I have when my husband has to give every freaking detail of the story … I predict she is half listening. ????.” And another fan joked about Kelce’s mansplaining moment, “The way she looks done with the explanation ????.”

Let’s be honest, we’ve all been there before. Love makes us do crazy things like attend a chilly fall night at the baseball stadium when we’d rather be sipping hot chocolate on a cozy couch watching Hallmark movies. Swift probably wanted to spend time with Kelce, and they had the opportunity to go to one of the playoff games. It might not have been her ideal night of fun, but it was a date night together.

The MLB caught Swift and Kelce at a different moment of the night in a post on X that showed off their red-hot romance — and they both looked like they were enjoying each other’s company and the game. “Nothing like a #Postseason night at the ballpark for Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift ❤️,” they captioned the video. The dynamic duo high-fived each other and then clasped hands as they sweetly smiled at each other. The 35-year-old athlete did most of the talking while the 34-year-old pop star nodded in agreement. 

The baseball game might have been Kelce’s idea, but next time, maybe date night can be Swift’s pick. We have no doubt the football player will go along in support because that’s what loving couples do for each other.
