It’s a must-win game.

The phrase “must-win game” gets thrown around a lot, but this is quite literally a “must-win game.” A Royals win sends the series back to New York for a deciding Game 5. A loss and the Royals’ miracle season is over.

Michael Wacha gets the starting assignment with the same lineup from Game 1. Wacha gave up three runs in four innings in Yankee Stadium that night, but the hitters had some good swings against Yankee starter Gerrit Cole and scored five runs overall.

Cole was much better on the road this year with a 2.49 ERA compared to 4.31 at home. He gave up seven hits and four runs in Game 1 in just five innings but has a long history of post-season success. Jon Berti is back at first base for the Yankees.

Game time is 7:08 CT on TBS, truTV, and Max.
