GDT: WC and Division Series Chat

I’m two days late posting this and already 3 series are over! Sorry Orioles, maybe next year!

It’s been a while since we Rays fans had no dog (or no Dawg) in this fight, but it’s strangely relaxing to watch baseball without having a huge stake in the outcome.

The Mets are my ancestral team so I’ll go with them in the NL (for at least one more day), but if the Brewers win it will make Willy Adames happy and that’s a good thing. In the AL I’ll root for Kansas City because I always liked Matt Quatraro, their current manager, who seemed really smart and funny in a quiet way during his Rays tenure.

I am however more driven by hate than affection — I’d like the Yankees to get eliminated as quickly as possible because, of course. And part of me feels like we’ve had enough Dodgers, but on the other hand, I’d like to see Ohtani in the World Series.
