Francisco Lindor Exits Game Early Versus Philadelphia In His Return

0 0

The New York Mets got good news early Sunday afternoon, as their star shortstop Francisco Lindor re-entered  the starting lineup. However, that good news was short-lived as he was removed from the game after just one inning.

Lindor exited Friday night’s blowout victory after over-running second base. It was announced he left that game with back tightness. After testing it out pregame, the Mets and Lindor deemed himself ready to return to the lineup Sunday afternoon. That is when after one inning Lindor was replaced by rookie Luisangel Acuña at shortstop.

Lindor singled in his first at-bat of the game. He did not leave first base, as he was stranded there by the offense.

The Mets confirmed that Lindor left Sunday’s game with back discomfort.
