News and Notes: On to Chicago
News and Notes for Monday, September 19th, 2024
The Guardians got shutout by Jack Flaherty and the Dodgers 4-0. They failed to get an extra-base hit.
Three pieces of good news:
1. Bibee battled and looks like an ace.
2. The team realized Scott Barlow is bad an DFA'd him when they needed an arm.
3. They won't have to face Jack Flaherty again unless they see him in the World Series.
It would be nice if today would feature another Anthony Gose DFA and the team calling up Andrew Walters or Franco Aleman. But we will see.
It's time to take care of business in Chicago against the White Sox. No excuses. They had to win the series against the Royals and get one against the Dodgers. Now it's time to sweep the White Sox or things are gonna get dicey.
