Guardians swap out pitchers, then get rained out

Morning N&N for August 7, 2024

The Guardians decided to get a fresh arm on the team for yesterday’s game. In order to do so, they optioned Logan T. Allen to AAA and DFA’d Curry. Anthony Gose got the callup.

But he got the callup for a game that didn’t happen. The Guardians and D-Backs were rained out due to the severe weather that hit most of Northern Ohio.

The two teams will play a doubleheader today. Brandon Pfaadt and Eduardo Rodriguez in one day is a tough tough draw for Cleveland.

Framber Valdez was 1 out away from no-hitting the Rangers, but Corey Seager hit a 2-run home run at that very moment. Ope.

The Twins lost 7-3 to Shota Imanaga and the Cubs.

The Royals lost to Boston 6-5.
