PRO V1 in High Winds - Golf Balls

November 11, 2023 at 01:31 PM Last Thursday we had consistent winds of 25-30 MPH, with gusts reaching 40+. Our No. 1 hole is a par 5 that normally faces dead into an Northwesternly wind over water. While waiting to tee off we saw ball after ball hit a wall of wind and drop out of the sky barely clearing the water. On a normal day the water hazard is mostly a non-issue. That said, several balls with a more piercing trajectory did much better. It brought home the importance of ball aerodynamics on an extremely windy day. I have a suggestion for Titleist: publish a guidance matrix for ball performance in extreme conditions (high winds, high altitude, extremely hot or cold temperatures, high humidity, dry/dessart like conditions, etc.). In other words, assist golfers in selecting the correct ball for any given playing condition.
