0 6

Good morning, Mets fans!

The Mets were faced with a scare early Monday morning as according to Mike Puma of the New York Post, Brandon Nimmo said that he fainted in the bathroom at about 5:15 a.m. Per Puma, Nimmo said he called the Mets’ trainer when he came out of it and was taken to the hospital to be checked out, where he spent the majority of the day.

Will Sammon of The Athletic elaborated on the report, saying Nimmo arrived to the stadium less than two hours before the game wearing a bandage on his forehead and a hospital bracelet on his wrist. Nimmo said he is okay, passed all tests and expects to be in the Mets’ lineup on Tuesday in Game 2 against the Nationals.

The Mets and Nationals continue their series on Tuesday night at 6:45 p.m. ET. It will be DJ Hertz (1-2, 5.48 ERA) on the mound for the Nationals against Sean Manaea (5-3, 3.89 ERA) on the mound for the Mets.
