The Syracuse Mets went ballistic on offense, notching five home runs. Brett Baty continues his domination of Triple-A, hitting yet another home run while playing his customary third base. Every Syracuse Met reached base on Tuesday. Rylan Bannon and Rhylan Thomas also homered for Syracuse.

  • RHP Christian Scott (2.76 ERA) 4 IP, 1 ER, 4 H, 3 BB, 3 K , 1 HR allowed (49 of 81 pitches for strikes)
  • RHP Wilkin Ramos (0.00 ERA) 2 IP, 2 K
  • RHP Matt Festa (1.76 ERA) 2 IP, 1 H, 3 K
  • RHP Cole Sulser (1.93 ERA) 1 IP, 1 unearned run, 2 BB

Christian Scott had another good outing as the Mets continued to limit his innings. Wilkin Ramos continues to show he may be a potential option in the bullpen for the New York Mets this year. His season ERA is 1.08 and his ground ball rate is over 60%.

Double-A

Binghamton Rumble Ponies (35-33) 2, Portland Sea Dogs (37-32) 5

BOX SCORE

Binghamton only managed five hits on the day, with the five through nine hitters managing one hit and striking out eight times.

  • RHP Joander Suarez (4.40 ERA) 6 IP, 3 ER, 6 H, 2 BB, 3 K, 1 HR allowed (55 of 86 pitches for strikes)
  • RHP Bryce Montes de Oca (13.50 ERA) 1/3 IP, 2 ER, 3 H, 1 BB, 1 K

Joander Suarez had a good outing, but it just wasn’t enough behind a Rumble Ponies offense that struggled to do much of anything Tuesday. Bryce Montes de Oca continues to struggle a bit in his return from Tommy John surgery.

High-A

Aberdeen IronBirds (37-33) 9, Brooklyn Cyclones (34-36) 2

BOX SCORE

  • CF Nick Morabito1-for-4, SB (22), 3 K (.760 OPS)
  • 3B Jesus Baez: 1-for-4, 2B, R, K (.750 OPS)
  • 1B Nick Lorusso0-for-1, RBI (37), 2 BB (.864 OPS)

The Cyclones had the same struggles as Binghamton, managing only three hits. In his High-A debut, Jesus Baez hit a double for the only extra-base hit for the Cyclones.

The Cyclones sent out three pitchers on Tuesday, and none performed well. Each allowed at least two earned runs.

Low-A

Palm Beach Cardinals (34-34) 6, St. Lucie Mets (39-30) 2

BOX SCORE

While managing 10 hits and five walks on the day, St. Lucie could not convert them into runs. Colin Houck seems to have hit another slump, going 1-for-4 but striking out twice to lower his OPS to .611 on the season.

  • LHP Franklin Gomez (4.38 ERA)  6 IP, 6 R (5 ER), 11 H, 3 K, 1 HR allowed (60 of 86 pitches for strikes)
  • LHP Jeremy Peguero (4.11 ERA) 2 IP, 4 H, 3 K

Franklin Gomez lived in the strike zone on Tuesday, but was hit hard for the tune of six runs, five of which were earned on 11 hits.

Florida Complex League

FCL Cardinals (14-22) 5, FCL Mets (16-20) 0

BOX SCORE

Jeremy Rodriguez has recently come back down to earth after his early-season outburst, with his OPS dropping to .740.

Shintaro Fujinami made his first rehab appearance and had a solid outing. Christian Rodriguez had one of the more unusual statlines, allowing four unearned runs while walking one and striking out six.

Dominican Summer League

BOX SCORE

DSL Mets Orange (8-8) 10, DSL Mets Blue (5-11) 1

The Mets Orange team was electric on offense, with 10 hits and 10 walks leading to 10 runs. The Mets Blue team only managed one run on three hits.
