0 3

Good morning, Mets fans!

The Houston Astros announced on Saturday that they scratched right-handed pitcher Justin Verlander from his start. Right-handed pitcher Spencer Arrighetti pitched in Verlander’s place.

Of note, the Mets owe the Astros $17.5 million if Verlander pitches 140 innings. Before being scratched on Saturday, he was on pace for about 130 innings.
