A trio of minor league starting pitchers were spectacular for the Mets affiliates yesterday.

Jonah Tong (High-A), Brandon Sproat (AA) and José Butto (AAA) had strong performances, with all three leading their squads to victory.

Tong pitched 6 2/3 innings of one-run baseball, allowing four hits and striking out eight batters, including 19 swing-and-misses, earning the win as the Brooklyn Cyclones beat the Hudson Valley Renegades 7-1. Tong, the team’s 20th-ranked prospect according to MLB Pipeline, has a 1.86 ERA in four starts since being promoted to High-A.

Sproat didn’t get credit for the victory in his second Double-A start, but was still impressive for Binghamton. The Rumble Ponies defeated the Reading Fightin Phils 6-5, scoring the game-winning run in the ninth inning. Sproat, No. 13 in the Mets system, pitched seven innings, allowing three runs, six hits and fanning nine batters.

Butto pitched six innings of shutout baseball, only allowing two hits, walking zero batters and striking out seven. Butto won as the Syracuse Mets trounced the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders 12-1.

Left-handed reliever Brooks Raley will miss the remainder of the season with Tommy John surgery.

Kodai Senga played “light catch” yesterday, manager Carlos Mendoza said.
