A’s vs. Mariners game thread
Going for the series win on Mother’s Day
Happy Mother’s Day! We got a day game of some Athletics baseball to celebrate all the moms out there who love baseball.
The team is going to try to get the series win after pounding the Mariners in last night’s middle game. Left-hander Alex Wood is coming off his best start of the season when he fired six scoreless innings against the Rangers. He’ll be hoping to do more of the same against another division rival in the Mariners today.
He’ll be opposed by Seattle ace Luis Castillo, who is having another fine season by his standards. The A’s bats will need everything they can get off of him because he’s not going to give you a lot.

Starting catcher Shea Langeliers is back in the lineup after having yesterday off, with Tyler Soderstrom heading to the bench. Other than that it’s more or less the same lineup they used in last night’s blowout win. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it.
