Seattle tries to claw their way back into the series, but face a tough pitching matchup

The Mariners offense got shut down in embarrassing fashion last night, striking out 14 times and spoiling a gem from Luis Castillo. Tonight they won’t have the pitching advantage, as rookie Emerson Hancock looks to make a strong impression in what might be his final MLB start for a while, as Bryan Woo seems poised to return from the IL. Here’s hoping the offense can rally around Hancock, who has been more than serviceable after being pressed into duty early this season.

Lineups:

It’s a righty on the mound tonight in Bailey Ober, so Josh Rojas leads off. However, he’s playing left tonight as the team tries to get Luis Urías’s contact-oriented bat into the lineup. After last night, a little more contact would be much appreciated. Seby Zavala also takes the place of Cal Raleigh, resting up for his Dump Yard celebration this Friday, one assumes. (It’s also a Funko Pop Lil’ Dumper night at the park, so you can go home this weekend with two pieces of Cal memorabilia.)

Also, sorry, the Twins didn’t tweet their lineup so all you get is this ugly tiny screenshot from MLB.com.
