[Football] 15 From SXU Football Earn MSFA All-Academic Honors

CHICAGO – The Saint Xavier University football team was well represented on the Mid-States Football Association (MSFA) All-Academic Team as 15 Cougars were named to the squad when the team was announced by the league office Tuesday morning. To qualify a student-athlete must be a sophomore in academic standing and have a minimum of a 3.25 grade point average (GPA). Overall, 367 student-athletes from 16 schools earned all-academic recognition, a new record for the conference, surpassing the mark of 344 a season ago. Since the end of the 2019 season, the number of all-academic honorees has increased from 226 to 291 after the 2021 spring season.
