[Track & Field] 2023 Track & Field Season Preview

Sutherland had quite the amateur career.  In 2019, Sutherland won the silver medal in the 100m hurdles in the U-17 CARIFTA Games. Sutherland's 100m PR time sits at 10.59 second and his 110m hurdle PR time sits at 14.44 seconds. 

Among the women's team Emma Vizina & Tracey Hatch. Hatch enters her junior year having had great success at her previous stop, Everett community college. While at Everett Hatch was part of the NWAC 4x100m title winning team. That team set the Everett Community College 4x100m record with a time of 48.76.  Individually, Tracey also placed in the top five in the 200m and 400m races at the NWAC Championships.  

While Hatch takes care of the shorter distances, freshman Emma Vizina from Victoria, British Columbia, will likely be tasked with competing for the Oaks in the longer events. Vizina put together a solid cross country season this past fall and will look to carry that momentum onto the track. Prior to her time at Menlo, Vizina was also selected to Team British Columbia for the Canadian Cross Country National Championship.  At that event, Emma helped her team to a second place finish overall.

The start of the season is just around the corner for Menlo's track & field team. On February 11th the team will be heading down to Santa Barbara to compete at the Westmont Sunshine Invitational. While they will be spending plenty of time on the road, the Cardinal Classic (3/18),
