[Women's Track & Field] Harrison Named CCAC Women's Field Athlete of the Week

CHICAGO – Sophomore Amia Harrison (Chicago, Ill./Simeon Career Academy) was named the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) Women's Field Athlete of the Week for the Saint Xavier University women's track and field team when the awards were announced by the league office Wednesday afternoon. Harrison recorded a new personal record in the Triple Jump with a distance of 11.33m and qualified for the NAIA Women's Indoor Track & Field National Championships by hitting the 'B' Standard at the Fighting Bee Invitational hosted by St. Ambrose University (Iowa) this past weekend. Her jump was the fifth-best in team history and allowed Harrison to claim CCAC Women's Field Athlete of the Week for the first time in her career.
