France, Türkiye first National Teams to qualify for inaugural WBSC Youth Baseball5 World Cup

France defeated Türkiye 2-0 (3-2, 8-3) at the Sofia Sports Hall, Bulgaria, to win the first U-17 Baseball5 European Championship. Both National Teams qualified for the inaugural WBSC Baseball5 Youth World Cup, scheduled for 2023.

Franche and Türkiye clinched their spot in the first Baseball5 Youth World Cup as they won the semifinals on Friday, 18 November. France defeated Lithuania 2-0 (7-3,10-1) and Türkiye beat Czechia 2-0 in a couple of very close games (1-0, 1-0).

Both France and Lithuania participated in last week's WBSC Baseball5 World Cup finishing ninth and 11th respectively.
