[Men's Basketball] Saints Fall to Jaguars at Home

Notre Dame, IND. The Holy Cross men's basketball team continued their conference play when they hosted Governors State University this evening. Holy Cross got off to a great start on offense in the first half, they shot 57% from the field and 44% from three-point range. Mick Sullivan paced the Saints, going  11/14 from the field and finish with 22 points. This efficient first half would give the Saints a 42-37 lead going into the half. The Saints came out of the half slow, and Governors State took the lead early in the half. The Saints continued their effort on rebounds and shooting the ball efficiently. The Saints shot the ball 45% from the field and 50% from three point-range in the half. The Saints also won the rebound battle 32-26 over Governors State. Despite having a last second three point shot from Phil Robles, who finished the game with 22 points, the shot was off target and the Saints would fall short 76-74. With the loss, Holy Cross drops to 1-5 overall and 0-3 in conference play, while Governors State improves to 1-5 and 1-1.
