0 15

Milwaukee, Wis.  The Holy Cross College men's basketball team returned to Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference play this evening when hosted Trinity Christian College. After a slow start by the Saints, they trailed 39-26 at halftime. Holy Cross would battle back in the second half and cut the Wolves lead to 61-59 with just over three minutes left to play. A pair of Beau Ludwick free throws with 49 seconds to go put the Saints within one, 64-63. The ensuing possession resulted in a key stop for the Saints as they would regain possession, down one, with 27 seconds remaining. Ryan Black banked in a layup with 15 seconds left to put Holy Cross up one. Justin O'Neal came up with a steal late and converted on the free throw line to give the Saint the 66-64 victory. With the win, men's basketball improves to 9-10 overall and 4-7 in conference play, while Stritch stands at to 4-13 and 2-9.
