On the backs of their pitching, Milwaukee took an early series lead with a 2-1 squeaker last night. Today they turn to their second ace, righty Brandon Woodruff, while the Braves go to their young, impressive southpaw Max Fried.

Game 2, SF leads 1-0
Few matchups could be friendlier to word counts or storysmiths, with the two best teams in the National League taking another round of kaiju-esque swings at one another. Lineups will be released later but we should see lefty Julio Urias attempt to stabilize L.A. while Kevin Gausman attempts to stretch the series lead. The Giants ace will hope to follow rookie Logan Webb’s example, who offered an absolute gem last night to start the playoffs.
