[Women's Tennis] Rinaldi Takes Singles Title at NAIA West ITA Regional Championships

RAMONA, Calif. – The San Diego Christian women's tennis team made two finals, claiming one in the 2021 NAIA West ITA Regional Championships at Riviera Oaks Resort & Racquet Club this past weekend.

In singles, Angela Rinaldi cruised to the title having never dropped a set to an opponent during the course of the tournament. Rinaldi is playing in top form and with the victory, has gained a berth in the ITA Cup in Rome, Georgia on October 14-17, 2021.

Rinaldi also made it to the women's doubles final with her Hawks partner, Anthea Weiland, and after claiming the first set, looked to be headed for the sweep. Unfortunately, the pair dropped the final two sets to their opponents and had to settle for the runner-up designation.
