WICHITA, Kan. — The Friends University Falcons have been selected to finish ninth in the KCAC Coaches' Preseason Poll, the league announced Monday (Aug. 16).
"We view preseason rankings as motivation to prove people wrong," head coach Martin Ayin said.
The Falcons fell in the KCAC Quarterfinals to the defending regular-season and tournament champion Ottawa Braves, who received 12 first-place votes.
McPherson grabbed the remaining first-place tally while Kansas Wesleyan, Saint Mary, and Tabor rounded out the top five, respectively.
The Falcons open the season this weekend at the KCAC Fall Fling in Hutchinson, Kan. with matches against Morningside and Doane on Friday.
