[Softball] Davis Snags NFCA NAIA All-Region Nod

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Friends University junior outfielder Kat Davis has been named a National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) second-team NAIA All-Region III selection, the organization announced today (May 28).

Also a first-team All-KCAC performer this season, Davis wrapped up her three-year playing career at Friends with another elite season at the plate. 

A native of Keller, Texas, Davis batted a team-high .412 on the season while ranking second on the team in hits (56), RBIs (37), slugging percentage (.662) and on-base percentage (.463).  She also tied for second on the club with seven home runs.

Davis, the 2019 KCAC Freshman of the Year, helped the Falcons to a third-place finish in the KCAC (18-6) this season and a 31-16 overall mark.

For her career, Davis finishes with a sparkling .430 batting average along with 12 homers, 142 hits, 79 RBIs, 30 doubles, a .480 on-base-percentage and a .636 slugging percentage.

"What a great accomplishment to end such a stellar softball career at Friends University," said Friends softball head coach Suzanne Unruh.
