KENNEDY TOWNSHIP, Pa. - Taylor Webb had five hits, including four doubles, and drove in six runs to lead the University of Rio Grande to a doubleheader sweep of Point Park University, Saturday afternoon, in River States Conference softball play at Fairhaven Park.
The RedStorm posted a 9-1 win in the opener before taking the nightcap by a score of 8-3.
Rio Grande finished its regular season schedule at 42-13 overall and 23-3 in conference play. The 42 wins represent the second-most in a single season in the program's history.
Point Park fell to 16-22 overall and 10-14 in the RSC.
