Feel free to make new plans for tonight

Wednesday night’s series finale between Cleveland and the Chicago White Sox has been postponed due to winter weather conditions. The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader on Monday, May 31, which is Memorial Day this year.

Aaron Civale was slated to take the mound for Cleveland, and Chicago was preparing for a bullpen game after placing starter Lance Lynn on the 10-Day IL with a strained right trapezius. We will have to wait and see whether manager Terry Francona opts to shuffle the rotation in light of Wednesday’s postponement. The plan was originally for Logan Allen to get the starting nod in Thursday night’s opener against the New York Yankees, followed by Shane Bieber on Friday and Triston McKenzie on Saturday. Neither Allen nor McKenzie have been able to go deep in a game as of yet, and sandwiching Bieber between them would theoretically give the bullpen a breather.

Regardless of who will be taking the mound for Cleveland, you can catch them back in action tomorrow night at 6:10 p.m. ET at home against the Bronx Bombers, who are currently tied with the Twins and Tigers for the worst record in the American League at 6-10.
