The Dolphins have already been very active during the offseason, and they could have another trade in the works. NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports that the team is receiving phone calls about the No. 6 overall pick and that the team is considering trading it.

The Dolphins entered the offseason with the No. 3 pick in the draft, which they acquired in 2019 when they shipped Laremy Tunsil to the Texans. They then executed two trades in the same day which saw them move down to No. 12 and back up to No. 6.

The sixth pick has the potential to be alluring to plenty of teams for different reasons. The first three picks are expected to be quarterbacks, but two other signal-callers will likely be selected early. Teams looking for a franchise quarterback could try to move up to select one of the quarterbacks that are still on the board. The No. 6 pick also seems like a prime spot for one of the premier pass-catchers in this draft — including tight end Kyle Pitts — or offensive tackle Penei Sewell. Trevor Lawrence and Mac Jones seem locked in as the top two picks, but six other players have a draft pick over/under of 6.5 or less on FanDuel Sportsbook.
