Jaylen Brown Expected to Play Sunday vs. Hornets

0 33

Brown was originally listed as questionable for Sunday’s matchup vs. the Hornets due to a knee injury, but head coach Brad Stevens said he expects Brown to be in the lineup. He suffered the injury during Friday’s contest, which ultimately limited him to just 27.4 minutes of playing time.

Brown has had an excellent season for the Celtics, and he was rewarded with his first career All-Star game appearance. He’s shooting a career-best 48.4% from the field and 39.1% from 3-point range despite carrying a large offensive workload. He’s posted a usage rate of 30.6% over his past 10 games, which ranks 14th in the NBA.

Romeo Langford is also expected to be available for the first time all season. He’s spent most of the year recovering from offseason wrist surgery and dealing with the league’s health and safety protocols, but he could see a few minutes of playing time vs. the Hornets. That said, he’s not worth considering on FanDuel.

The Celtics are currently listed as 9.5-point favorites vs. the Hornets on FanDuel Sportsbook.
