Celtics’ Jaylen Brown Cleared To Play On Wednesday Against Mavericks
The Boston Celtics will finally have their full rotation available tonight when they host the Dallas Mavericks. Jay King of The Athletic reports that All-Star guard Jaylen Brown is expected to return after missing one game with a hip injury.
It will be interesting to see how Boston will choose to stagger the minutes after acquiring Evan Fournier before the trade deadline. Brown has averaged 34.6 minutes in March, but with the Celtics currently the seventh seed and one-game under .500 at 23-24, they won’t have the luxury to rest their players down the stretch.
The former #3 pick from UC Berkeley is averaging 24.5 points per game, but those numbers could take a slight dip with Fournier now on the team. FanDuel Sportsbook has set his points prop at 23.5 with a 20 cent juice to the under.
As for the game itself, the Celtics are drawing plenty of attention from bettors, with over 70% of the money accounting for 40% of the tickets.
