Christian Wood Out Monday

0 1

Cayleigh Griffin reports Christian Wood will miss Monday’s matchup between the Houston Rockets and Memphis Grizzlies due to an illness. Monday’s game will be the second Wood has missed consecutively, missing Saturday’s 129-107 win against the Minnesota Timberwolves due to an ankle injury.

In his first season with the Rockets, Wood has averaged 31 minutes, scoring 21 points, 10 rebounds and one assist in 23 games. He has also missed extended time due to an ankle injury, suffered in early February.

Kelly Olynyk will start in place of Wood Monday. Priced at $5,200 on FanDuel, Olynyk made his team debut in place of Wood Saturday, playing 25 minutes, scoring 16 points, four rebounds and four assists. As a member of the Miami Heat, he has averaged 27 minutes, 10 points, six rebounds and two assists per game, starting in 38 games.

The Rockets are an 8-point home underdog against the Memphis Grizzlies on FanDuel Sportsbook in a game with a 226.5 total. The Grizzlies have allowed 111.4 points to opponents this season and have played at the sixth-fastest pace in the league, averaging 100.8 possessions per game.
