Andy Dalton signs with Bears

Adam Schefter reports free agent quarterback Andy Dalton has signed a one-year $10 million deal with the Chicago Bears.

Dalton spent last season with the Dallas Cowboys, starting in nine games after Dak Prescott was injured in Week 5. Dalton threw 216 passes for 2,170 yards and 14 touchdowns. Before his tenure with the Cowboys, Dalton spent nine seasons with the Cincinnati Bengals, starting in 133 games, throwing 2,757 passes for 31,594 yards and 204 touchdowns.

Last season, Dalton ranked 29th among all starters in passing yards, with the Cowboys having the eight-most passing yards per game, at 260 yards per game. The team leader in target market share was Allen Robinson, who accounted for 25% of the team’s targets.

The Bears ranked 11th in passing yards per game, averaging 228.4 yards per game, ranking 10th in scoring with 23.3 points per game.

The Bears are +5000 to win SuperBowl LVI on FanDuel Sportsbook. With an 8-8 record, the team made the playoffs, losing to the New Orleans Saints on Jan. 10.
