Ben Simmons to Miss Next Two Games
Ben Simmons will miss the next two games for the Philadelphia 76ers due to the league’s health and safety protocol. Simmons was identified as a close contact with an individual who tested positive for COVID-19, causing him to miss Sunday’s All-Star Game.
If Simmons continues to test negative, he will be available to play in the 76ers matchup with the San Antonio Spurs on Sunday, Mar. 14.
A key playmaker for the 76ers, Simmons has started in 31 games this season, averaging 34 minutes, 16 points, eight rebounds and seven assists.
Expect Seth Curry to benefit with Simmons sitting. He has started in 28 games this season, averaging 30 minutes, scoring 12 points, two rebounds and three assists per game. Matisse Thybulle should also return to the starting lineup in place of Simmons.
The 76ers are +1200 to win the NBA Championship on FanDuel Sportsbook.
