World Series Game 5 Instant Reaction: DRaysBay Playoff Podcast Series
Blueprint still intact.
According to Danny’s blueprint of the Rays winning games 2, 4, 6, and 7, the Rays are still very much alive. But once again, they’ve made it hard on themselves. Although it wasn’t a great night for the Rays bats, and certainly not for Tyler Glasnow, it was hard for any of us to be mad at that game. Our nonchalant attitude may be motivated by the fact that Blake Snell is starting Game 6, and he looked great earlier in this series before getting Tichenor’d in the fifth inning of Game 2. And although the runs weren’t flowing, the Rays were getting guys on base. I expect that to continue against Tony Gonsolin and the Dodger bullpen.
The Rays are on the ropes, let’s see if they’ve got any fight left in them.
