[Cheerleading] Grand View Cheer Places Sixth at Regional Qualifier

Baldwin City, KS - Grand View competitive cheer traveled to Baldwin City, Kansas yesterday, February 29, to compete in the Midwest Regional Qualifier. The Vikings placed sixth out of ten teams to finish the competition. 

Rounding out the top five was Missouri Valley with 77.90, Central Methodist with 73.30, Benedictine with 70.55, Graceland with 64.99, and MidAmerica Nazarene with 59.93. 

Facing so much adversity, coach Sherri Swanson was nothing but impressed and proud her team, "The GV cheer team definitely rose up at regionals. In prelims, Cheer was 7th and in the finals and ended up placing 6th with the most energetic spot-on performance the entire season. One of the smallest competition teams in our history and a team who faced several setbacks definitely gave it their all. They never gave up and their performance yesterday was true showmanship of hard work and dedication to one another. As their coach, I could not be any prouder and happier than I am right now."
